The great pike teaches Arthur that leadership can only be fulfilled with might. He explains to Arthur that "power is of the individual mind, but the minds power is not enough' (52). The pike believes that every person can have power. However, the power of the mind isn't enough. Furthermore, he feels that "power of the body decides everything in the end, and only might is right" (52). The great king of the river discribes that power in the body is the best source of strength and might, and that might is always right.

The pike believes that he can use his mind to become powerful. However, he does not think that power of the mind is enough. Furthermore, he feels that "power of the odd decides everything in the end, and only might is right"(52) . Arthur disagrees with this statement. He thinks that you can have power wherever you put you mind to it.
ReplyDeleteThe great pike teaches Arthur that leadership is being physically strong and not mentally strong. He explains that "power is of the individual mind, but the mind's power isn't enough" (52). The pike believes that you need more than mind power to be powerful. He thinks the mind is powerful but not enough. Furthermore, he feels that "power of the body decides everything, and only Might is Right" (52). He says physical strength is strong. It is what is important.
ReplyDeleteThe great pike teaches Arthur that leadership is about physical power instead of mind power. He explains that "power is of the individual mind, but the mind's power is not enough" (52). The pike believes that everyone has power of the mind, but it is not enough power to be a great and powerful leader. Furthermore, he feels that "power of the body decides everything in the end, and only might is right" (52). Arthur disagrees with the great pike because he thinks that might is not the solution to everything. Arthur thinks that to use the power of the mind is much more important for a leader.
ReplyDeleteThe great pike shows Arthur that he can not always use your head, but sometimes he has to use his physical. The pike feels that "power is of the individual mind, but the mind's power is not enough" (52). The pike thinks that if you only rule with your mind you will not be a good king, so you must have a physical side to yourself. Also he thinks that "power of the body decides everything in the end, and only might is right" (52). Arthur does not agree with the pike, and Arthur thinks that if you run a city with out force it will be fine.
